I'm a cultural anthropologist, conscious dancer, and multimedia artist interested in diverse research and creative adventures that explore how movement and immersive arts can catalyze socio-political/ secular spiritual transformations of the self, and produce new or different modes of being and relating to other humans and this earth of ours.
Touch Here to (Dis)Connect
A photo essay
"Touch Here to (Dis)Connect" is a visual exploration of the way spirituality is, beyond abstract beliefs, a result of physical and embodied habits of touching and being touched. It shows that what many people long for, beyond the western, modern, capitalist society, is some form of embodied connection. The selection of photos is from various spiritual festivals that took place in Northern Spain in 2018-2019.
Hara Festival is a meditation festival. I took some photos there in June of 2019. Below is a promotional video that I made with the same focus on the relationship between movement, touch, and sounds within spirituality.

The Spiritual Dance Festival
The Spiritual Dance Festival is a new-age gathering that takes place outside of Barcelona twice a year since 2011. The photos were taken at three different instances, in April 2018, August 2018 and April 2019.
